Almost....Almost....

I'm probably the only person who didn't know this until recently, but Conan O'Brien used to write for the Simpsons in it's first few seasons. I mention this because of this video clip from his show where he interviews a couple of the cast from the show.

The "hot coffee" controversy surrounding Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has come to a head, with the game being reclassified AO18+ (from MA17+) in the US which basically means it will be pulled from shelves of many large department stores. It has also had it's classification revoked (i.e. banned) in Australia. Some stupid old granny has sued the makers of the game, Rockstar Games because she bought the game for her 14 year old grandson, and now that it's rated AO18+ (as opposed to the MA17+ it was originally) she is sueing for the damage it has done to her and her grandson. This guy sums it all up nicely. I even made a little attempt at a funny on the subject myself.

Don't ask me how, but somehow this cow managed to get it's head stuck in a tree.

Another quick lot...

How to scare the crap out of people at a movie theatre 101.

There's a teaser trailer up on the new site for the upcoming Tenacious D movie, it's gonna rock your socks off.

After the last report I posted about a possible Futurama straight-to-DVD movie, it looks like they're also doing a Family Guy movie for DVD as well.

While on the topic, the Smurfs look like they're getting their own CGI Movie.

It's been a while since I've updated so I'll keep this post light on the fluff and high on content

Ain't it Cool News has a positive report about the upcoming Doom movie, based on the classic computer game series.

A full trailer is out for Tim Burton's new claymation movie, The Corpse Bride.

A scene from A Few Good Men has been synced up with Half Life 2 characters.

Homicidal bunny flash video

Which family guy character are you?

A direct to DVD Futurama movie is in production! BAM

That sex game in GTA: San Andreas is stirring up quite a storm now.

Use your body instead of wires and cables? no thanks.

Some info from Jack Black and King Kong and the Tenacious D Movie "Pick of Destiny".

Some more info about the Transformers movie, due in 2007, still to be directed by that chump, Michael Bay.

That is all.

Who's up for an Interrobang!?

Due to the overwhelming response from my comic... I promise not to post them ever again.

WTF is that you ask?! That is an interrobang, "The punctuation mark of the twentieth century". Basically some guys back in the 60s decided they needed a new character to use instead of using a question mark and an exclamation point together and came up with the interrobang. I dunno who came up with the name, but it sounds like a weird porno title. I think some T-shirts with "WTF] printed on the front would sell like hotcakes. So next time you need that extra bit of urgency to a question, think interrobang.

Anyway onto some random crap...

The 40 Year Old Virgin looks like it could be pretty good, with some of the team from anchorman behind it and the lead from the US version of The Office in the title role. On the opposite end of that scale, even Google thinks Paris Hilton is a whore, check out their "Did you mean...?" response to a search for "paris hilton isnt a whore".

Got 10 hours, a webcam, lots of lego and a fetish for Star Wars? Then build a huge ass Star Destroyer.

The Great Eye of Sauron is all seeing and knowing, he's just in space, not Mordor.

What's your ecological footprint? I'm just under average for Australia, but it'd still take 3 and a half earth's if everyone on earth lived like me :(.

I'll wrap things up quickly with a couple more links...

Mario vs Sonic (1994)

I got a heap of stuff from back home this weekend, and amongst it all was a comic I did back in 1994 when I was about 14 which was printed in Nintendo Magazine System. It was basically a Mario vs Sonic battle to the death Street Fighter II style. I thought I'd share it with anyone bored enough to come visit Potatoz, so you can witness what perfect handwriting and tracing skills look like.

As w00ter stated below, he's gonna be posting random bullshit on here too now, I've known him for probably 4 or 5 years now, we used to do Urban Terror stuff together back in the days and we've kept in contact ever since, though we've never met in person (he's in the Netherlands, I'm in Australia) I know he's got a similar sense of humour as I do.

Anyway, onto some crap...

The King Kong Trailer has been released, and it looks pretty sweet. Speaking of monkeys...Tom Cruise is a whiney pussy bitch, but we already knew that anyway.

School has changed a lot since I was there, no wonder they call it the best years of your life. The new director of X-men 3, Brett "Red Dragon" Ratner, wants that kind of action in the next installment of the movie franchise. I guess nothing beats a bit of Donkeystyle to sell tickets at the box office.

It also looks like the writer of Batman Begins, David Goyer will be both writing and directing a movie version of the comic book superhero The Flash. I can't remember what exactly that guy is about, I remember the TV show in the 80s...He was just fast or something, like Superman, except he couldn't fly, and he didn't have superhuman strength, and he didn't have any of the other cool stuff, it's basically Superman ME edition.

Salutations!

Let me introduce myself, I'm here to help sir WetWired by submitting a Potatoz news update now and then. This means that from now on, you'll either see Wet, or me updating the news section with the random bullshit you'd expect to see.
So, today Wet has put the Potatoz Forum online, he's still tweaking and fixing it, but it's fully operational. So obviously you can go ahead and register, and post around.

As for trying to hitch-hike your way to the seventh job-interview this week, I'd strongly recommend not getting in one of these pickups. If all goes well, you can finally put your well earned money to some use!

On a totally different context, I ran across this awesome game, which feels so real, that you'll wonder if it's a fake! Discuss!
