HBO's Carnivale has been cancelled after only two brilliant seasons. One of the best TV shows I've seen since the early years of the X-Files is no more. The show's creator spoke out about the cancellation and although things are grim, he urges all fans to recommend the show to friends, lend them taped copies or get the series on DVD (make him some money).

The cancellation of Family Guy on Fox and it's recent ressurection due to good ratings in sydnication and DVD sales goes to show their may still be hope. If not for new seasons, but maybe a film, tv movie or mini-series, anything that can give some closure to the storyline, which was left wide open at the end of the second series.

In more upbeat TV news, it seems pretty damn likely that Fox's comedy series Arrested Development will be picked up for another season or two.

E3 is just around the corner and everyone is strutting their stuff already, The XBox 2 has been unvield and now officially named "XBox 360". I guess some marketing guru told Microsoft that people are stupid and will think the "3" means it's just as good as the "3" in Playstation 3, rather than Xbox 2...because 3 is are higher number than 2...

There's lots of screenshots floating around of the Xbox 360 running some games, but nothing has impressed me too much yet, don't get me wrong, the shots look good, but I was expecting more I guess. The videos I've seen of Unreal 3 look better than most of the shots I've seen, but maybe seeing some videos of the console in action will change my opinon.
